Panko Crusted Goat Cheese Bites
Ingredients

1 8 oz log fresh goat cheese (chevre)

1 egg, beaten

1 cup flour

½ tsp sea salt

¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper

½ tsp garlic powder

3 Tbsp grated parmigiano cheese

2 cups Panko bread crumbs
Instructions

Freeze log of goat cheese for 10 minutes

Prep breading station: one bowl for flour seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; one bowl for egg with parmigiano cheese, one bowl for panko

Cut goat cheese into 12 slices

Dip each slice into flour mix, then egg mix, then Panko

Place coated goat’s cheese on a tray and return to the freezer. If making them right away, freeze for 15 minutes then continue. If making ahead of time, freeze until firm and transfer to a ziplock baggie.

To finish, heat the oven to 400

Add 3-6 Tbsp olive oil to cookie sheet and put in oven to heat up (about 10 minutes)

Remove the hot sheet and place frozen Goat Cheese bites directly onto the sheet.

Return to the oven for 10 minutes, turn over the bites and return to the oven for 5 minutes.
